Rolling Stones - Stones 1976 Australia G+/VG
THE ROLLING STONES - STONES
Explore a distinct regional chapter of the band's discography with the 1976 Australian-exclusive compilation album, simply titled Stones. Released via Decca Records to compile the group’s foundational rhythm-and-blues recordings, this unique 18-track retrospective was manufactured and distributed domestically down under by EMI (Australia) Limited. The expansive tracklist bridges the gap between massive global hits like "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Ruby Tuesday" and deeper, raw covers like "Down The Road Apiece," "Poison Ivy," and "Under The Boardwalk". Featuring unique localized cover art, this package was originally shipped with a fold-out poster insert. This initial Australian pressing stands as a document of how Decca’s classic 1960s British catalog was repackaged and marketed specifically for the Oceanian vinyl market during the mid-1970s.
1976 Australian import/release by Decca, catalog # SCA-005. Compilation on black vinyl with Decca red and silver boxed label and code 320 on spine.
Sleeve grades VG. Small (about 1 inch or 3 cm) seam burst at mid spine, tiny developing seam burst in mid bottom edge. Light ring wear on front. Some edgewear. Light ring wear on back. Some tiny horizontal creases along spine on front/back.
Vinyl grades G+. Pretty clean vinyl with a handful of light scratches and a few light surface marks including a "scuff" like blemish across B2-B4. Plays pretty well, mostly VG/VG+ but it's downgraded to G+ because there is a quick skip right at the beginning of B1.
