THEE SILVER MT. ZION ORCHESTRA & TRA-LA-LA BAND - 13 BLUES FOR THIRTEEN MOONS

Immerse yourself in the dense, thunderous, and fiercely political orchestrations of Thee Silver Mt. Zion Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band with the original 2008 Canadian first pressing of 13 Blues for Thirteen Moons. Released via Montreal’s independent beacon Constellation Records, this heavy 2xLP set was manufactured with rigorous audiophile care, pressed on premium 180-gram virgin vinyl. As a prominent offshoot of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the seven-piece collective balances massive walls of roaring punk-rock guitar feedback with sweeping, melancholic string arrangements and choir-like group vocals led by Efrim Menuck. The album layout is intentionally unique, opening with 12 short, minimalist drone micro-tracks (each lasting only a few seconds) before plunging into four sprawling, multi-movement epic compositions on Sides B, C, and D. True to Constellation's dedication to tactile art, the packaging is an exquisite artifact: a heavy, textured cardboard gatefold jacket printed on recycled stock, accompanied by a multi-panel lyric insert sheet.

2008 Canadian import/release by Constellation, catalog # CST051-1, barcode #666561005115.  First pressing of double album (2xLP) on 180g heavyweight audiophile black vinyl.  Includes all the inserts - double folded poster, crimson booklet "Himnos de Sion" and an illustrated promotional postcard.

Sleeve grades VG+.  Very clean die-cut outer cover with sharp corners, no edgewear, intact spine/seams.  Just the slightest touch of ring wear.  Includes all original inserts in excellent condition:  custom inner sleeve, foldout poster, crimson booklet "Himnos de Sion" and promotional postcard.

Vinyl grades VG+.  Plays through crisp and clear with no issues.  Very clean vinyl with a couple light surface marks and hairlines visible under magnification, probably 10 or less total across all four (4) sides.
