BLACK FLAG - 1983 DEMO'S

Uncover a crucial, missing link in underground music history with The Unheard 1983 Demos by Black Flag. Serving as an essential archival glimpse into the band's private rehearsals during their famous early-80s legal lockdown, this release stands as an absolute masterclass in artistic endurance and structural songwriting transition. The tracklist captures the foundational four-piece lineup of Rollins, Ginn, Dukowski, and Stevenson mapping out the jagged, metallic paths that would soon define their mid-80s discography. Shifting from the rare, driving social commentary of "What Can You Believe" and the abrasive rhythm of "Modern Man" on the A-side to an early, unpolished workspace version of their classic anthem "Slip It In" on the flip side, this release provides an unfiltered look at a legendary band subverting censorship behind closed studio doors. An essential piece of historical documentation, this EP is an indispensable acquisition for any dedicated punk archivist, alternative rock historian, or independent music collector.
