Released as a double-LP compilation showcasing Bob Dylan's essential catalog alongside previously unreleased vault tracks, Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Volume II serves as a definitive retrospective of his foundational songwriting era. Pressed by Columbia Records' Pitman plant, this release features the Columbia 1-eye label design and the iconic gatefold packaging. The collection features essential tracks including "Watching The River Flow," "Lay Lady Lay," "Like A Rolling Stone," and "Positively 4th Street," making it a crucial focal point of Columbia's early-1970s archival catalog.

I can't make out the exact pressing of this release, it matches nothing in DC.  Here's what I can tell you:  Outer sleeve and spine have catalog # KG 31120 (first catalog #), labels have catalog # PG 31120 (2nd catalog #) and the runouts indicate Pitman as the pressing plant for both discs but the first disc is stamped and the second disc is etched.  The outer sleeve has the timing strips attached to the front with "Not For Resale" so it was likely a radio station copy.  Honestly it may be a frankenstein copy with a first pressing sleeve and later pressing mismatched discs; I'm just not sure.  The Columbia 1-eye labels were used 1970 into the 1990s so they're era appropriate with the first pressing coming in 1971.

Sleeve grades VG+.  Gatefold sleeve with some surface wear; again with clean timing strips on the lower half of the front, intact spine/seams, pretty good corners, back is pretty good with one minor crease and ring wear, inner gatefold shows some ring wear but is other good.  Generic inner sleeves.

Vinyl grades VG+.  Play tested through with no issues.  Disc 1 is very clean with two light scratches into the dead wax on Side 1 and a couple hairlines under magnification on Side 2.  Disc 2 is still in great shape but Side 3 shows more age appropriate light surface marks/hairlines/insertion marks under magnification, Side 4 is again pretty clean with a handful of light marks/hairlines.
