Servicing rock radio for the release of 1983's Infidels, this promotional 12-inch single highlights "Man Of Peace," one of Bob Dylan's sharpest allegorical compositions from his early 1980s catalog. Co-produced alongside Mark Knopfler, the track features dynamic guitar interplay and a driving reggae-influenced rhythm section driven by Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare. Exploring themes of deception, power, and human nature, the single remains a standout radio-serviced track from Dylan's return to secular songwriting.
1983 US release by Columbia, catalog # AS 1770. PROMOTIONAL advance copy for radio featuring four (4) songs from upcoming album Infidels. 12" vinyl plays at 33 1/3 RPM.
