BOB DYLAN - BOB DYLAN'S GREATEST HITS
Own a definitive monument of 1960s American counterculture with the original 1967 US first pressing of Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits. Released by Columbia Records to fill a scheduling gap while Dylan recovered from his legendary 1966 motorcycle crash, this 10-track compilation is an absolute masterclass in folk-rock curation. It chronicles his lightning-fast metamorphosis from Greenwich Village protest singer to psychedelic rock pioneer. The album serves as an entry point to his foundational catalog, gathering generational anthems like "Blowin' in the Wind", "Subterranean Homesick Blues", and the full-length masterpiece "Like a Rolling Stone". This original 1967 release is universally celebrated for its packaging: the front jacket features an iconic, backlit live photograph taken by Rowland Scherman, while the earliest commercial runs came bundled with the highly coveted Milton Glaser fold-out poster—a legendary psychedelic profile illustration that remains one of the most influential graphic design pieces of the 20th century.
1967 US release by Columbia, catalog # KCS 9463. First pressing of compilation, in stereo, made at Terre Haute plant. Columbia red and white "360 Sound" labels.
Sleeve grades VG. ~1 inch seam burst in left side of bottom seam. Otherwise great color/finish, not a lot of edgewear, shaped but dinged corners. No poster insert or original inner.
Vinyl grades VG. Both sides are pretty marked up with light scratches, thus the disc plays with some crackle but it's behind the music. No skips.
