Widely regarded as one of the greatest compilation albums in rock history, this 1981 UK reissue of Buzzcocks’ Singles Going Steady (Liberty – LBR 1043 / 0C 045-82 790) captures Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto’s pop-punk blueprints at their absolute apex. Originally assembled for the North American market in 1979, the album was so revered that EMI/Liberty issued this proper UK vinyl press shortly after United Artists merged into Liberty. Side A houses eight consecutive, flawless UK Top 40 A-side singles—including "Orgasm Addict," "What Do I Get?," and the immortal "Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)"—while Side B delivers their equally brilliant, razor-sharp B-sides. Mastered at Tape One studios by Jack Adams ("JA") and Denis Blackham ("Bilbo"), this 1981 release is an absolute essential for pop-punk, post-punk, and 1970s British rock collectors.

Sleeve grades VG+.  Shaped but slightly worn corners, excellent color/finish/gloss on front and back.  Light ringwear, a few of those small creases along the spine and top seam, bit of edgewear on top and bottom.  Overall a fine cover.  Still has the original Paperchase £3.49 price tag on the front!  Includes generic white inner sleeve that appears to be the original.

Vinyl grades VG+.  Play tests perfect with no issues/deficiencies.  Vinyl surface is very clean, just a handful of light marks/hairlines on each side under magnification.
