Capture the explosive, angular pinnacle of the 1990s D.C. underground with Solid Brass, the brilliant final studio album from Circus Lupus. Released on Dischord Records in 1993 and engineered by the legendary Don Zientara at Inner Ear Studios, this post-hardcore classic is a masterclass in tension and release. From the siren-like guitar riffs of the opening track "Right Turn Clyde" to the driving, abrasive groove of "Texas Minute" and "Pop Man," the album flawlessly blends aggressive punk energy with tight, complex indie-rock math. A criminally underrated masterpiece from Dischord's golden era, Solid Brass is an absolute essential for collectors of Fugazi, The Nation of Ulysses, and the raw architecture of 90s alternative rock history.
