Counting Crows Recovering The Satellites Lava Red New Sealed RSD Essentials

COUNTING CROWS - RECOVERING THE SATELLITES

Lava Red colored vinyl double album (2xLP), remastered for RSD Essentials Series!

Originally released in October 1996, Recovering the Satellite stands as Counting Crows' seminal sophomore masterpiece. Following the massive success of their debut August and Everything After, frontman Adam Duritz poured the raw pressure of sudden stardom, heartache, and introspection into a darker, more expansive alternative rock landscape. Produced by Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters), the album balances soaring guitar hooks with emotionally charged anthems, driven by classics like "A Long December," "Angels of the Silences," "Daylight Fading," and the haunting title track.

Issued in 2026 as an official Record Store Day (RSD) Essential release, this limited-edition double-vinyl reissue spreads the full 14-track album across 2LPs to give the dynamic, layered production optimal groove pitch and audiophile warmth. Struck on striking "Lava Red" translucent colored vinyl, this pressing delivers punchy, resonant low end and crystal-clear acoustic textures, making it a definitive display centerpiece for 1990s alternative rock collectors.

2026 US release by Geffen Records and UMe, catalog/barcode #199957593687.  RSD Essentials Series remastered double album (2xLP) reissue on limited edition Lava Red color vinyl.
