The second studio album by Emily Haines, the celebrated frontwoman of Canadian indie-rock band Metric.  Arriving 11 years after her solo debut, Knives Don't Have Pictures, the album is a sophisticated, internal and largely piano-driven departure from the synth-heavy stadium rock of Metric.  The album's title is literal with Haines using her own voice to create choirs of backing vocals as she spent months in the studio layering dozens of her own vocal tracks to create ghostly, atmospheric harmonies.  The album explores themes of feminine identity in the modern world, spoken word poetry/prose and introspection.  Produced by Haines and James Shaw (Metric), the album is spare but lush, creating a premium, prestige indie record appealing to fans of Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and/or St. Vincent.
