Fleetwood Mac - Future Games 1972 US Reissue VG/VG+
FLEETWOOD MAC - FUTURE GAMES.
Explore the mesmerizing, transitional dawn of Fleetwood Mac’s mid-period reinvention with the 1972 Columbia Records Terre Haute pressing of Future Games. Originally recorded in 1971 at London's Advision Studios, this early 1972 edition marks the introduction of American singer-songwriter Bob Welch and full-time member status for Christine McVie, pivoting the group away from their blues-rock origins toward a lush, atmospheric soft-rock landscape. The 8-track layout is defined by Danny Kirwan’s beautifully melancholic guitar work and Welch’s sprawling, kaleidoscopic 8-minute title track. Pressed on heavy vintage wax at Columbia’s historic Indiana factory, this edition features the corrected green sleeve layout (updating the scarce, accidental yellow tint used on the absolute earliest 1971 runs). Embellished with standard tan-and-green Reprise Records center labels, this Terre Haute edition is an essential analog document of the band laying the structural groundwork for what would soon become a global pop-rock empire.
1972 US release by Reprise Records, catalog # RS 6465. Reissue of original 1971 pressing in stereo pressed at Terre Haute.
