Stand at the fiery precipice of late-60s counterculture with Jefferson Airplane's groundbreaking 1969 masterpiece, Volunteers. Serving as the band's primary anti-war statement, this incendiary album captures Grace Slick, Paul Kantner, and Marty Balin at their most lyrically radical and musically fierce. Recorded on state-of-the-art 16-track equipment, the album features guest contributions from Jerry Garcia, Stephen Stills, and Nicky Hopkins, surging with generational anthems like "We Can Be Together", "Wooden Ships", and the rallying title track "Volunteers". Essential for any serious psychedelic rock collector, this original 1969 US pressing stands as a defining sonic monument to the Woodstock era.
