LUPE FIASCO'S THE COOL
Revisit the dark, cinematic pinnacle of conscious hip-hop storytelling with this spectacular double-vinyl pressing of The Cool by Lupe Fiasco. Serving as his masterful, RIAA-certified platinum sophomore statement, this brilliant conceptual epic is a towering achievement in modern lyricism. The deep, high-fidelity analog grooves perfectly showcase the album's intricate storytelling, driving effortlessly from the soaring, unforgettable hooks of the massive global smash "Superstar" to the jazzy, globe-trotting bounce of "Paris, Tokyo". Teeming with razor-sharp social commentary on "Dumb It Down," thunderous production, and guest contributions from the likes of Snoop Dogg and Matthew Santos, every track balances raw underground poetics with stadium-sized sonic ambition. Housed in its iconic, skull-adorned urban fantasy artwork sleeve, this beautifully pressed 2xLP is an absolute mandatory cornerstone for any serious hip-hop archivist or modern vinyl collection.
2007 US release by Atlantic, catalog #368316-1, barcode #075678995804. Original first pressing of double album (2xLP).
Sleeve grades VG+. Autograph in excellent shape, very clear Lupe Fiasco signature in metallic silver pen. Sleeve shows some surface scratching beneath the signature, a little ring wear and dinged corners. Spine/seams intact and strong, minimal edgewear. Original insert included.
Vinyl grades VG+ on playtesting and VG on visual. Plays through crisp and clean with no issues; discs have been ultrasonically cleaned. Visually there are surface marks evident to the naked eye on the discs and this would grade VG based on visual grading.
