MELANIE DE BIASIO - BLACKENED CITIES

Sleeve and Vinyl graded VG+.  Shrink still on cover, everything in "like new" condition, basically NM.

Plunge headfirst into a towering, 24-minute cinematic masterclass of atmospheric noir-jazz with this spectacular original European single-sided 12" vinyl pressing of Blackened Cities by Melanie De Biasio. Released via [PIAS] Le Label to massive critical acclaim, this monumental conceptual suite serves as a breathtaking, slow-burning meditation on urban isolation and industrial architecture. Across one expansive, meticulously engineered side of whisper-quiet German Optimal Media wax, the uncompressed analog grooves deliver a panoramic soundstage of astonishing depth—perfectly isolating Dré Pallemaerts' slow-creeping, rhythmic drum roll and Pascal Paulus' brooding vintage synthesizers beneath De Biasio’s haunting, smoky vocal whispers and melancholic flute flurries. Masterfully cut at Translab in Paris, every subtle cymbal decay and transient piano chord punches through your speakers with jaw-dropping room separation, while the blank, mirror-polished flipside serves as the ultimate professional tool for anti-skating tonearm calibration. Housed in its premium matte jacket featuring striking, gritty monochrome portrait photography by Stephan Vanfleteren, this pristine, beautifully preserved artifact is an absolute, non-negotiable holy grail for any serious jazz archivist, trip-hop purist, or elite high-fidelity audio collector.
