Self-released through the band's own Pine Street Collection imprint and limited to a hand-numbered run of just 2,000 copies worldwide, this massive collection treats Aaron Weiss’s narrative of a 19th-century circus train crash in Montana with museum-grade archival packaging. Co-produced by Daniel Smith (Danielson) and mixed by Brad Wood, the album interlaces explosive, aggressive post-hardcore outbursts with delicate indie folk arrangements, enriched by guest vocals from Hayley Williams of Paramore. Visually framed by the striking original surrealist paintings of Russian artist Vasily Kafanov, the box set functions as a multimedia archive. It groups the complete album across two LPs—with Side Four displaying a custom laser etching—alongside the exclusive Other Stories 7-inch single and a 13-track deluxe CD counterpart. Complete with deep literary nods to the likes of Melville, Hegel, and Rilke embedded across its inserts, this initial pressing is the definitive physical monument to the band's conceptual golden era.

2012 US release by Pine Street Collection, catalog # PSR0004.  First pressing in a deluxe, limited edition box set.  Box set with colored vinyl, two (2) 12" discs (one green marbled and one single-sided bluish-gray marbled with etched D side) plus one (1) 7" 45 RPM disc and CD.  Also includes custom picture sleeves, 28 page lyric booklet plus 11 original paintings by Vasily Kafanov, 11x17 poster and 8 page booklet featuring two additional Vasily Kafanov paintings.

Sleeve grades VG+.  Basically "like new" condition, the box is excellent with just a couple scuff marks along the bottom side, likely from shelf storage.  All inserts including the poster, lyric booklet, 7" gatefold sleeve plus booklet, custom inner sleeves and CD are included and in excellent condition.

Vinyl grades VG+/NM.  Plays through perfectly crisp and clear with no issues across all discs.  The 12" discs are difficult to see any surface marks but they appear clean under direct bright light and magnification, possibly NM.  The 7" disc plays VG+ or better and has just a couple hairlines visible under magnification.

All-around a great copy of this box set.
