Scarce 1988 US Columbia Records white-label promo 7" 45 RPM single for Bob Dylan’s uptempo Down in the Groove highlight, "Silvio"! Issued on crisp white demonstration labels featuring red promotional text ("Demonstration - Not For Sale"), this DJ-only release was distributed to radio stations in the summer of 1988. Co-written with legendary Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter and featuring backing vocals from Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Brent Mydland, this single represents a historic crossover between two iconic counterculture giants.
