RAMONES - ROCKET TO RUSSIA
2nd US pressing from Jacksonville (IL) pressing plant, likely 1979. Very clean disc plays flawlessly.
Acquired while trying to obtain a first pressing, the original seller was mistaken though this is a difficult disc to differentiate as the first and second pressings from the Jacksonville plant share the same runouts. The difference is in the label rim text, this has the longer version of rim text which is indicative of the 2nd pressing. The release is not dated, but it was likely done in 1979 based on labels -- definitely 1979 or later. Rim text says "Sire Records Company * Marketed by Warner Bros. Records Inc. * 3300 Warner Blvd., Burbank, Calif. 91510 * Made in U.S.A."

The sleeve is graded VG+. Color and finish on both sides is excellent. Corners are a little dinged but overall sharp and maintaining shape. Edgewear is minimal. Very light touch of ring wear on back of cover. Spine and seams are strong and intact. Original inner sleeve in good condition but there is a 2-3" seam split on the bottom. Maybe a 1-2cm seam split or developing seam split on side of inner sleeve.
The vinyl play grades Strong VG+ (my highest grade for used vinyl). Play testing for me was perfect with no issues at all, no deficiencies. There are a handful of light surface marks/hairlines visible under direct light but not many...this disc is not far off from being NM.
