THE ROLLING STONES - UNDERCOVER
Explore the sonic shift of the early 1980s with the original United Kingdom vinyl release of The Rolling Stones’ Undercover. Issued on Rolling Stones Records and manufactured domestically by EMI Records Ltd, the album represents a distinct period where the group integrated contemporary New Wave, dub, and dance elements into their traditional blues-rock foundation. Co-produced by Chris Kimsey and The Glimmer Twins, the 10-track album delivers a heavy rhythmic punch highlighted by the politically charged title track "Undercover Of The Night" and the driving tempo of "She Was Hot". The bold packaging features the elaborate, geometric collage design concept created by Peter Corriston and Hubert Kretzschmar. Complete with a designated printed lyric insert, this initial British release is a historical artifact tracking the band's adaptation to the evolving electronic landscapes of the mid-1983 recording era.
