SKY LARKIN - KALEIDE
The ultimate high-energy 'indie-rock' hidden gem. For their 2010 sophomore effort, the Leeds trio headed to Seattle to record with John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Los Campesinos!), resulting in a sound that is bigger, punchier, and more sophisticated than their debut. Led by Katie Harkin’s intricate guitar work and sharp, poetic lyricism, Kaleide is a masterclass in jittery, math-rock-inflected pop. A vital piece of the 2010 Wichita 'Gold Mine' for fans of high-speed melodies and spiky, inventive rock.
