The Cramps - Songs The Lord Taught Us.
This is the 1980 original release year but the 2nd US pressing by Pitman pressing plant. The cover is the second pressing with purple/magenta text on front and back which was changed from the first pressing and then changed again for the third pressing because it was hard to read on the back. The discs feature rainbow IRS labels that are in great condition. Catalog #SP 007 and there is no barcode on this release.
The sleeve grades in VG condition, probably closer to G+ than VG+. Pros are that the sleeve is intact without much wear on the front and back where it matters; no seam splits/holes or material creases/lines. Cons are there is visible ringwear on front and back, quite a bit of edgewear that could turn into seam issues if not careful and softening of the corners. There is no original inner sleeve whether it was generic or not but I will ship the disc in an audiophile sleeve.
The vinyl is very clean looking with good flat labels and plays excellently with no surface or background noise. The disc is rated Strong VG+ for playback with no issues cited.
Overall this is a rare bird in pretty good physical shape and excellent shape on the audio/playback. If you want an early pressing you can listen to without issues, this is it! If you're a collector looking for a sleeve to put on display, this is probably not your copy.
