THE VIPERS - HOW ABOUT SOMEMORE?

Blast directly into the sweat-soaked, fuzz-fueled heart of the 1980s New York City garage-revival underground with this exceptionally rare 1988 original US Advance Promo vinyl pressing of How About Somemore? by The Vipers. Released via the legendary Midnight Records imprint to vanguard club DJs and college radio stations, this magnificent LP stands as a towering, highly explosive masterclass in '60s-inspired garage punk and kinetic power-pop hooks. The wide, high-velocity analog grooves deliver a beautifully raw, uncompressed soundstage—driving flawlessly from the snotty, Farfisa-tinged guitar stabs of "You're Doin' It Well" and "Rules Of Love" to the frantic, speaker-shredding title track "How About Somemore?" Teeming with authentic, mid-80s Greenwich Village club grit and razor-sharp room acoustics, every jangling chord and driving snare hit punches through your speakers with stunning, front-row velocity. Housed in a plain white jacket with the band name and "PROMO COPY DEMO ONLY" stamped across the front, this beautifully preserved 1988 promo relic is an absolute, non-negotiable crown jewel for any serious garage-rock archivist, alternative 80s completionist, or elite indie wax hunter.

1988 US PROMO pressing, presumably for press as it contains two band photos and a band information sheet.  Release by Midnight Records, catalog # MIR LP 139.

Sleeve is a generic white cardboard outer with "The Vipers" stamped three times as well as a "PROMO COPY DEMO ONLY" stamp.  The back has a sheet with band photos/info pasted on it.  There are three inserts - two glossy band photos and a sheet with band photos/info on one side (same as back cover) and Midnight Records info on the other side.

Vinyl grades VG+.  Plays through with no issues or deficiencies.  A side is pretty much NM.  B side has a handful of light surface marks and hairlines that don't impact playback.
