The disc is a single-sided ACETATE version of the final released version of Green Tambourine by The Lemon Pipers. Manufactured by Bell Sound Studios, Inc., W 54th St, New York, NY. Probably manufactured in 1967 or 1968 based on the song's initial release in 1968. Provenance is from a collector who received the disc directly from the band's lead guitarist, Bill Bartlett. Comes with a COA (Certificate of Authenticity).
The original release of Green Tambourine was by Buddah Records, catalog # BDS 5009 in 1968. Green Tambourine is universally recognized by music historians as the first-ever Bubblegum Pop song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The disc is graded VG+. We have not play-tested the disc given it is an acetate which are not meant to be played over and over. This ensures the disc remains in the best condition possible for your collection.
