Ultra Rare Original Copy "More-On-Four" Punk Zine from 1977 UK
Step inside the unfiltered chaos of London ’77 with More-On #4, the definitive final installment of the legendary punk zine created by teenage visionaries Sarah Rapson and Rebecca Hale. Fueled by a £100 investment straight from the pocket of Joe Strummer, this rare piece of counterculture history captures the raw, DIY spirit of the UK punk explosion before the mainstream swallowed it whole. Featuring an iconic, jagged collage cover celebrating The Slits, intimate photos of The Clash, and the brilliantly cynical satirical essay "Anarchy & The Common Rodent," Issue #4 is a fearless masterclass in teenage rebellion and Xeroxed subversion. Essential, abrasive, and fiercely independent, this zine isn’t just a collectible—it is a time capsule of the exact moment punk belonged to the kids who lived it.
An exceptionally rare, museum-grade holy grail of counterculture ephemera, an original physical copy of More-On #4 is virtually impossible to find on the open market today. Because it was printed on cheap, disposable paper stock and limited to a tiny run of just a few hundred copies distributed at chaotic 1977 gigs, very few copies survived the era’s beer-stained venues and leather jacket pockets. Today, the vast majority of surviving copies have completely vanished from the private market, safely locked away in institutional archives like the British Library and the Jon Savage Archive to preserve its legacy as a pioneering piece of feminist punk history. On the incredibly rare occasion a verified original does surface at specialized auctions, it commands top-dollar prices from elite rock-and-roll collectors, making it a true holy grail for any archive.
Ultra-rare, original copy of the final issue (#4) of the "More-On" punk zine from 1977 UK. Published by Sarah Rapson and Rebecca Hale, with at least this issue also funded by Joe Strummer. Maintained in excellent condition for its age, though the cover has a couple stain spots and there is a little aging discoloration throughout, the original staple is present but the last page has become detached. Everything is legible (at least to the extent it was originally legible as printed!). This issue covers The Sex Pistols, The Heartbreakers (formed out of the New York Dolls by Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan), The Clash, The Slits and more.
