VIOLENT FEMMES - 3

Strip away the studio excess and dive headfirst into the raw, acoustic-punk soul of late-80s alternative history with this spectacular vintage vinyl pressing of 3 by the Violent Femmes. Serving as the band's brilliant, return-to-form 1989 masterwork, this phenomenal album captures the trio reclaiming the stark, minimalist magic that birthed their legendary early sound. The rich analog grooves effortlessly broadcast Gordon Gano’s sharp, nerve-shredding vocal delivery and acoustic strums—driving flawlessly from the frantic, jittery poetry of "Nightmares" and "Dating Days" to the raw, bass-driven kinetic energy of "Just Like My Father" and the dry, rhythmic drive of "Telephone Book." Backed by Brian Ritchie's towering basslines and Victor DeLorenzo's signature percussion, every track explodes from your sound system with jaw-dropping room intimacy and pristine mid-range snap. Housed in its beautifully minimalist jacket, this crisp LP is a mandatory, non-negotiable cornerstone for any true folk-punk archivist or alternative vinyl collector.
