Initially formed in Brooklyn as a literal five-piece collective of musicians from across the globe (including Boston, Baltimore, London, and São Paulo), songwriter Barrie Lindsay steers the project with a masterclass in elegant, subterranean pop architecture. Co-produced alongside Jake Aron (known for his work with Snail Mail and Solange), the 10-track layout feels instantly nostalgic yet meticulously modern. It carefully balances layers of soft-focused synthesizers, driving basslines, and Lindsay’s signature, featherlight vocal melodies on breakout tracks like "Clovers", "Darjeeling", and "Chinatown". Housed in an understated jacket featuring an oversized photo insert and printed inner sleeve, this US colored vinyl pressing stands as a beautiful physical artifact of late-2010s indie-pop optimism.
