CARPENTERS - CHRISTMAS PORTRAIT

Celebrate a nostalgic piece of holiday vinyl history with the rare 1982 US Columbia House Record Club Edition of Christmas Portrait by the Carpenters. Pressed under exclusive license at Columbia's legendary Terre Haute plant, this highly collectible "CRC" mail-order pressing beautifully preserves the seamless, orchestral holiday tapestries woven by Richard Carpenter. From the joyous, brass-heavy syncopation of "Sleigh Ride" to the breathtaking, melancholy depth of Karen Carpenter's velvet vocals on "Merry Christmas, Darling," this LP delivers an incredibly cozy, analog fireside listening experience. Complete with its iconic Robert Tanenbaum painted portrait cover and distinct club-edition spine markers, this beautifully preserved 1982 reissue is a fantastic, sought-after variant for any dedicated Carpenters completionist or holiday record archivist.

1982 US reissue release by A&M Records, catalog #s SP-3210, SP-4726, R 134732.  Record Club Of America edition (the "R" catalog number).

Sleeve grades VG+.  Outer sleeve is pretty much immaculate - a few light wrinkles/dings but in fantastic condition for a 45 year old sleeve.  The original inner sleeve is included but unfortunately has a couple tears in it.  Disc will ship in new audiophile sleeve.

Vinyl grades VG+.  Plays through crisp and clear with no issues.  Vinyl has some light surface marks/hairlines that don't impact playback.
