Outstanding 1979 US white-label promo 7" 45 RPM single for Bob Dylan’s Grammy-winning gospel-rock anthem "Gotta Serve Somebody" off the Slow Train Coming album! Issued on Columbia Records white demonstration labels with red text ("Demonstration - Not For Sale"), this DJ-only release features a unique double-sided layout designed for radio station programming, holding the rare edited short version on side A and the full-length album version on side B. Produced by legendary Muscle Shoals masters Jerry Wexler and Barry Beckett and featuring Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler on lead guitar, this pivotal late-70s Columbia promo single is a must-have piece for Bob Dylan collectors, radio promo enthusiasts, and 1970s classic rock completionists!

1979 US release by Columbia, catalog #1-11072.  PROMOTIONAL 7" disc pressed on styrene.  A side is long version (5:22) and B side is short version (3:57).  Includes strip of jukebox tags.

Disc grades VG - mostly plays VG+ but there's a faint bit of crackle.  Generic company sleeve.
