RAGA ROCKERS - BLAFF

Dive headfirst into the fierce, independent core of the late-1980s Scandinavian punk movement with the original 1987/1989 Norwegian first pressing of Raga Rockers’ fifth studio milestone, Blaff. Released via the prominent regional imprint Sonet Grammofon AS, this album represents a definitive pinnacle of the "De Fire Store" (The Big Four) of Norwegian rock. Fronted by the uncompromising vocalist and chief songwriter Michael Krohn, the band recorded the album's 12 tracks during an intense spring session at the legendary Silence Studio, nestled across the border in Koppom, Sweden, under the guidance of producer Anders Lind. Blaff is a lean, hook-heavy punk and power-pop tour de force, matching Krohn's distinctively cynical, sharp-witted lyrics with driving, staccato guitar hooks and an remarkably tight rhythm section. The tracklist is packed with foundational anthems like the charging opener "Lysere Tider", the explosive title track "Blaff", and the fan-favorite radio hit "Hold Hodet Høyt". Initial limited copies distributed across Scandinavia came bundled with a highly collectible, single-sided bonus 7-inch single containing the exclusive track "Sukker". Complete with a monochrome graphic outer sleeve designed by Truls Halvorsen and a printed lyric inner sleeve, this original Sonet pressing stands as a towering, essential pillar of Norwegian rock history.

1989 Norwegian import/release by Sonet, catalog # SLP 15017.  First pressing on black vinyl.

Sleeve grades VG+.  Super clean white outer cover with original color/finish/gloss.  Intact spine/seams with no real edgwear.  Corners are shaped with light dings.  Back cover has a small scuff on the spine side about halfway down, not impacting any text.  Includes original custom inner sleeve.

Vinyl grades VG.  Entire disc plays VG+ except for A5.  There is a visual blemish on A5 (white spot) about 2/3 through the song that causes a couple clicks and some crackle.  Disc has been ultrasonically cleaned and the blemish remains.  Otherwise the disc shows standard light surface marks and hairlines under magnification that don't impact playback.
