The Rolling Stones - Singles Collection * The London Years

The subject BOX SET contains 4 LPs as a compilation of remastered singles from over the earlier years of The Rolling Stones' catalog.  This is the first pressing European release from 1989 version of the box set.  Catalog #s 820-900-1 and 1218-1 from ABKCO and the barcode confirm this as the first release.  The four vinyl discs contain 58 singles from the band's extensive catalog.  Also included in the box are a 72-page booklet with pictures, sleeves and lyrics, a songwriters and publishers index sheet and custom black inner sleeves printed with track lists and credits.

The subject box and contents are in VG+ condition.  The box cover is clean with original hype stickers.  Seams are intact and strong, the included 72-page booklet is in almost like new condition with sharp corners, looks like it's barely been browsed over the years.  The original custom inner sleeves and index sheet are also included in great condition, there's some ringwear on the inner sleeves.  The back of the box shows a little wear at the top.  Overall this looks to have been barely handled over the years and is in excellent shape.

The vinyl is in Strong VG+ or better condition.  The vinyl looks perfect to the naked eye and labels are clean and flat and in pristine condition; note how clean the vinyl is by the reflection in the pictures.  Under direct bright light, there are some light surface marks and hairlines but they do not impact play at all; these are VERY clean vinyl discs and don't look like they've been played more than a couple times.  Play testing was excellent, with the discs grading Strong VG+ or better on playback with no issues at all like surface/background noise, etc.  Again, almost like new condition.

This is an excellent box set in great shape all around, a fine addition to any collector's or Stones fan's catalog.
