RYAN ADAMS - ROCK N ROLL
2003 US first pressing of Ryan Adams' fourth studio album. Released 4th November 2003, the album was recorded in just two weeks at James Iha's Stratosphere Sound studio, born out of a stand-off with Adams' label, Lost Highway, which initially refused to release his more somber project, Love is Hell. The album's creation is a piece of indie-rock lore. When the label rejected Love is Hell, Adams responded by quickly recording Rock N Roll as a not so subtle response to their request for something more radio-friendly. The album is a depature from Adams' alt-country roots, leaning heavily into punk, new wave and 80s college rock. The album features several high-profile collaborations including Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole & Smashing Pumpkins) and Parker Posey (Adams' then girlfriend). Critics note the record collection feel of the album with songs channeling the styles of U2, The Smiths and The Replacements.
Released by Lost Highway, catalog # B0001376-01, barcode #602498610046. Limited Edition pressing on 180g audiophile black vinyl.

Vinyl play grades VG+ or better. Play testing is excellent with no deficiencies or issues and the vinyl is very clean, with almost no light surface marks/hairlines. Very close to being NM, probably only played a handful of times.
