Fantastic copy of the second studio album by the American indie rock band Space Needle, released in 1997 by Zero Hour, catalog # ZER LP 2080. Double album (2xLP) on black vinyl in gatefold sleeve. First and only pressing on vinyl.
The title is a multi-layered homage to The Holy Modal Rounders including the title of their 1968 psychedelic folk album (The Moray Eels Eat The Holy Modal Rounders) and the usage of the Moray Eels, a short-lived experimental band featuring members that merged into The Holy Modal Rounders, creating a playful reference to the band "Space Needle" being consumed by their musical ancestors. The album is also famous for its cover art by legendary British artist Roger Dean (best known for his work with Yes and Asia). The album has been praised by some critics as a visionary lost classic.
The sleeve grades VG+. It has a few dings at the corners but they maintain their shape and the sleeve has great original finish/color and minimal edgewear.
The vinyl play grades VG+. Plays through with no issues or deficiencies. Visually very clean but has an handful of light surface marks that don't impact playback.
