THE ROLLING STONES - THE ROLLING STONES

This is the original UK second pressing, with the very first iteration of the cover ("A1" - laminated flipback) and the first version of the label ("Z").  Track A3 incorrectly credits (Hurran, Calvert) on both label and sleeve and lists Cromwell Music as publisher.  Track A4 is "Mona" on sleeve and label.  Track A5 has "Uncle Phil And Uncle Gene" on label, "Uncle Gene And Uncle Phil" on sleeve.  Track B4 is has misspelled "Bozier" credit on sleeve.  Track B5 title is missing "If" on sleeve.

Decca release 17 April 1964, catalog # LK 4605 and LK.4605, in Mono with red labels.  UK import/release.  Has KT tax code on label and in runouts. Cover says "Laminted with 'Clarifoil' made by British Celanese Limited" and "Printed in England by MacNeil Press, London, S.E.1.".

Sleeve grades VG due to overall wear.  Seams and spine are intact and strong.  The laminate shows several minor creases (about 1 cm length) primarily perpendicular to edges and ring wear is apparent on front due to the laminate finish.   Back sleeve is in great condition but shows some aging discoloration and some staining from over the years.  There is some wear at the opening from handling over the years.  The inner sleeve is "Made in England" and has care/handling instructions in blue, appears to either be the original inner or era-appropriate.

Vinyl play grades VG.  Overall it plays really well.  Visually there are numerous light scratches/surface marks that are visible to the naked eye; these do not appear to have a material impact on playback.  Plays through with no skips or serious issues, but there is static behind the music in several places which causes the downgrade to VG.
