The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request 1967 UK Import repress G/G+
THE ROLLING STONES - THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST
1967 repress (first repress?) of original UK release by Decca, catalog # TXL 103. Original lenticular gatefold sleeve. Stereo fold-down into mono pressing, indicated by the T2 in runouts. Made in England. Side 1/2 designation to left of spindle hole.
Based on the grading, this disc is priced below the "low" historical trade for the same release on Discogs.
Sleeve grades G+. Material amount of edgewear and seams are fraying at the end. Overall sleeve is bent a bit; probably has been wet at some point in the past. Original inner sleeve included. Someone has drawn inside the maze on the gatefold interior.
Vinyl grades G. There is a slight warp on the edge of the record and there are light surface scratches, some of which appear to impact playback. The main issue is on track B1 where a few scratches and the warp cause approximately 15 pops and a couple skips in the first 1-2 minutes of playback. Other than the issue with B1, the rest of the record (A-side and B2 and beyond) plays VG, with some static/crackle behind the music being the main issue.
